Custom-built software · Tauranga, New Zealand

Custom-built software, small or big.

If the business only runs because you remember everything, re-type everything and chase everything, that work can be done by a system. We build it around how you already work: one small tool or the whole operation. Then you own it: the code and the data.

Sound familiar?

  • “I’m the only one who knows how it all works.”
  • “We type the same job into three different places.”
  • “Every new staff member takes a week of my time.”
  • “We pay for five apps and still run it off a spreadsheet.”
  • “I find out something’s gone wrong when the customer rings.”

None of that is a people problem. It’s work with no system behind it, so it falls back on you. A system holds the steps, the information and the rules, and does the repeat work so nobody has to remember it.

Internal software for your team.

The software your team opens every day, built around how you already work, instead of bending the team around someone else’s product.

Example: onboarding a new staff member

  • Today: forms by email, a folder of PDFs, a roster in a spreadsheet, and you, explaining the same things again.
  • The system: the new staff member gets one link. They fill in their details once, read and sign what they need to, and see their first week’s shifts.
  • What runs on its own: reminders for anything missing, documents filed against the person, and a heads-up before a certificate expires.
  • What you see: one screen showing who’s ready, who isn’t, and what they’re waiting on.

The same pattern fits quoting, job sheets, rosters, stocktakes and reporting. SeasonReady shows it running for seasonal work: rosters, open shifts, notices and how the team is feeling.

Systems your customers use.

A store, a booking portal, a members’ app. The screen customers see is the easy part. Behind it are the orders, stock, customers and rules that make it work, and on most platforms that part is rented.

We build both halves, so the backend fits how you work and stays yours. Stillwood and Bloom show the storefront side; FitFam replaced a family’s five apps with one they own.

Connections to the tools you keep.

  1. People
  2. Experience
  3. Workflow
  4. Connected information

Keep the software that already works, like your accounting package or bank feed. We connect it, so a job entered once turns up everywhere it’s needed, and nobody types it in again.

First we check what each tool allows, who owns each record, and what should happen when a connection fails. How to assess connecting the systems you have.

Measured in hours, not promises.

Every process costs a number of hours a week. Most owners have never counted them. The systems audit does: it measures each process with the people who do it, then ranks what to build first by the hours it gives back.

We only quote hours we’ve measured with you. Before then, the hours calculator uses your own numbers.

Do you own it?

There is plenty of good software out there. The question to ask about any of it: if the price keeps climbing, the company is sold or you want to leave, what happens to your business? Xero’s NZ plans went up again on 1 October 2026 (Xero NZ pricing), and many owners say they use a fraction of what they pay for.

Owning isn’t free to run: hosting, backups and support still cost something. If we look after it for you, that’s a monthly care plan, agreed up front. For some jobs, like accounting and payroll, renting is the right call. When to rent and when to own.

Where data belongs to people and communities, ownership goes further. Data sovereignty.

Built to a production standard.

A demo that works on one screen is not a system a business can run on. Before handover, every system is checked layer by layer: the interface, the data and how it is stored, sign-in and permissions, security, automated tests, deployment, backups and recovery, and the documentation someone else would need to keep it running.

The checks are written down and handed over with the system, so you can see what was tested and what to watch.

Small or big, scoped in plain words.

Some businesses need one small tool that takes a job off someone’s plate. Some need the whole operation in one system. Most start small and add to it. Each build is scoped and quoted in fixed pieces, with what’s included written down before work starts.

The first step is a systems audit: $995 + GST, credited to your build if we work together. See how discovery and delivery work.

Your next step

How many hours is it costing you?

Count them in a minute with the hours calculator, or book a systems audit and we’ll measure them with you, process by process.
